Pope John Paul II dispatched Msgr. Vincent Thu, one of his private secretaries, to Naju on September 19, 1995 and sent his message of consolation to Mrs. Julia Kim: "I extremely love and respect the Blessed Mother of Naju and also highly love and respect Julia,” and he invited Julia to the Vatican.
2. The Holy Father witnessed the Eucharistic Miracle
during Mass celebrated by the Holy Father in his private chapel on October 31, 1995. His Holiness personally witnessed the Eucharist that Julia received change into Flesh and Blood and was astonished. The Holy Father blessed Julia’s mouth after witnessing the Eucharistic Miracle, made a cross on her forehead with his hand, stroked her cheeks, and sent a blessing toward her family in Korea.
3. “Share the wonderful grace in Naju with other countries in Asia.”
During the Korean Bishops’ ad limina visit in March, 1996, Pope John Paul II advised the Korean Bishops: “Share the wonderful grace in Naju with other countries in Asia.”
4. “I also saw the Eucharist change in Julia’s mouth.”
Pope John Paul II asked Bishop William McNauchton of the Incheon Diocese in Korea: "What do you think about Naju?" Bishop William McNaughton rejoined in response: "I believe the messages and signs from Naju are authentic." The Holy Father said to the Bishop: “I also clearly saw the Eucharist change in Julia’s mouth and believe it.”

Pope John Paul II asked the Korean Bishops, who were on another ad limina visit on March 2001, “How is the situation in Naju?”
